Generating leads for an MLM business is no more difficult than “Paint By Numbers.” In MLM, “Paint By Numbers” is called “Success in 10 steps”,
A lot of kids love “Paint By Numbers” kits. You know the ones – a beautiful picture on the front of the box. Inside, you have 3 or 4 brushes, maybe 20 different little paint jars, and a board with numbers all over it – each number corresponding to one of the paint jars.
Then you just paint by numbers. You don’t have to be an artist. Just follow the formula, You can create a pretty nice painting … almost like you knew what you were doing.
Marketing is a lot like that. In marketing, you track your ads and your results – your numbers. Then you try something else, and track your numbers again. Then you compare your numbers, and keep doing what works better.
Here are some recent numbers I think are pretty astonishing. My group is part of a pretty good-size network marketing company. Our team uses the “Success In 10 Steps” ebook by Michael Dlouhy to find prospects, and others in the company use other means.
Our team brought in 62% of the company’s new business for the month of April.
- 82% of the company’s new business for May (so far)
Look. “Success In 10 Steps” is generic. No companies or products are mentioned. No affiliate links are included. The point of the ebook is to find the warriors in MLM, and to help you connect with them. This is a very effective system. I strongly recommend you download the free ebook now and see for yourself.
What did you think? I always love your feedback, so please leave me a comment down below with questions, thoughts, or feedback. And (yes, here’s my call to action) please share this post with your Twitter and Facebook friends by clicking on the share buttons below. I totally appreciate it!!

HI, Oliver-
I dropped in after reading Ana’s analysis of your site, and I agree with nearly everything she said. The one area I disagree would be that of your page speed. I just tested this page on Webpagetest.org, and found that your site begins to render at 5.039 seconds, is fully visible to users at 10.513 seconds and is fully functional at 11.678 seconds. Personally, I think that is awful. Here’s that report: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/101119_D5W9/1/performance_optimization/
I base that upon the discovery that just a couple of weeks ago, my site’s loadtime was similar. After about ten minutes of reconfiguration, I was able to get my loadtime down to around 1 second… slightly over 86 times faster, as a matter of fact. I have been making a number of changes the last few days, and haven’t re-optimized, and my site still starts rendering in under 1.5 seconds, and is fully visible at 2.177 and functional in 3.192 seconds. I’ll easily cut that in half when I re-optimize. At this writing, here are my test results: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/101119_D5XD/1/performance_optimization/
I would venture to say that you can get your site’s time to fully functional in around 2 seconds, by just a couple of minor tweaks to your caching system and minify settings. Your image compression could use some work, but I think the biggest improvement would be gained by combining your CSS and JS calls and caching them. Your site also has sufficient bulk that I think you might gain a little by using a CDN. Cloudflare offers a free CDN service that’s quite good, particularly for the price.
All the good comments Ana threw your way, by the way, are well deserved.

Hi Doc Sheldon,
wow, awesome. Thank you for your analysis of the analysis. I got different results regarding loading times and page speed. Overall, I’m not yet happy with it, so your advice is perfect.
In consequence of one of Ana’s former posts I have already been dropping stuff like Google FriendsConnect. I also found that the OnlyWire-plugin slowed down the page tremendously – so I kicked it out, wasn’t working very well anyway.
I am glad that you can also relate to Ana’s positive comments

Ana ROCKS, Oliver, as you probably already know. Since the first time I saw a Tweet that led me to her blog, I’ve been hooked! I’ve been doing this internet thing for a few years, but I learn something new nearly every week from her.
I’m not familiar with the OnlyWire plug-in, but I do know that I’m running more plugins than one normally should. I was in a trimming mode the day I decided I needed to get a benchmark on my loadspeed. A friend talked me through combining my CSS & JS calls, and the improvement was tremendous. Still tweaking, but that’s the way it works, I guess.
Enjoyed your site! I’ll be back to pester you now and then.

You know Oliver I have that book and will read it again.
I been too busy” building out” for the last 2 plus
years but have recently joined a NWMing company
after 7 years without one.
I also know there is pro member ship at $20 monthly.
I checked it out last year thoroughly and it may be
the best system…let alone $20 monthly system….
out there.
I would go as far to say that anyone with no NWMing
experience…newbies…could use only that to market with.
It may be the way to go to keep the noise and confusion
out of their heads.
If they can focus.
But as we know know now in NWMing and IM
after for me…13 years in “old school”…
we have to go learn everything and then implement.
Hey I’ve been there and now look for simple and duplicatable
ideas like mentoring for free does with Successin10steps.
I highly recommend it and will start using it.
