One of the most critical aspects for longterm success in any kind of endeavor, is how we handle success and how we handle failure. Your MLM business is no different.

Let’s talk about success first.

Let’s say you deliver a speech in front of 500 people, you’re doing really great – deep down you know it – and people are saying to you:”That was really an amazing speech, what I learned from these 15 minutes is worth thousands of dollars.”

How do you react instantly in a fraction of a second ?

Are you taking full credit for your huge success or are you underplaying, or even justifying, diminishing your success ?

What does your little voice tell you ? That it’s noble to be modest, not to brag and not to celebrate your successes ?

Or does it tell you that it’s noble to take full credit for successes and to celebrate them ?

Whatever your little voice tells you, how you handle such situations is crucial for your faith and confidence and future successes.

I can tell you from my own painful experience: If you dwarf your successes, then you are dwarfing yourself and I would even say your talents that were given to you by God, the universe or Infinite Intelligence whatever.

Responsibility means to acknowledge your gifts and talents – and your successes.

Blair Singer even says – in his book Little Voice Mastery – to even take credit for winning the lottery:”Universe looks kindly upon me now.”

Never ever say that something desirable that happens in your life is due to luck.

Blair Singer recommends to take credit for everything positive that happens even 20 miles around you.

Sounds weird, doesn’t it ?

Yes, it does. It seemed to me weird either. But all of a sudden, I realised that my little voices are lying to me anyway. So why not lying back to them ?

My little voices used to play games with me, now I’m playing games with them – on purpose. That means, I am the master of my little voices and not vice versa.

I know, most little voices are trained to always tell the truth, bla bla. Do they tell the truth ? I don’t think so.

A word of caution: I’m not promoting dishonesty in general, that means deceiving others by “false facts”.

It’s simply the following question: Who wins the battle in your brain – you or your little voices.

The choice is yours.

Own your successes. Period.

In one of my upcoming posts we’re going to deal with handling failures in your MLM business.

Chances are you might be surprised by the answer.

Of course, I strongly recommend you read Blair Singer’s book “Little Voice Mastery”.

Personally I do not believe in luck and if luck does exist we create it ourselves.

If you rely on luck it has a way of evening out over time :)

    Hi Peter,
thanks again for your comment. I appreciate you commenting on a regular basis. You’re awesome :-) Recently I heard a story of a guy in the US who won the lottery twice – after the first time he went broke and then, well, what an incredible windfall. And then ? I don’t know. Anyway you can’t rely on it, you’re absolutely right.

Oliver: I agree with Peter; I don’t believe in luck either, for the most part…if you’re relying on luck to find success in your business or your life, my suspicion is you’ll be sorely disappointed and likely to blame everyone around you for your lack of success.

    Hi Diane,
thanks for your comment. At least, it wouldn’t last long if you simply relied on luck and you wouldn’t be able to repeat and teach it to others. I appreciate you commenting on a regular basis on my posts.

    Hello Oliver, good point friend!

Luck has nothing to do with our success, if we dont create the path for prizes, they wont find us, simple as that.. Yes we should take the credit for great things that happen in our lives as we should take the blame for the failures.. Some people might think that someone had more luck and became very successful , but behind the scenes, there’s hard work and determination..

    Great work,
    Milena

I believe we aught to celebrate our success’s always but always keep a sense of humility. Because what got you there is a “God” given talent so let’s not forget what was given to us. But at the same time what we through hard work developed and utilized. I think that is a pretty balanced way to do it.

    Hi Steve,
I embrace the idea of humility because it means “connected with the soil” (hope I translated that properly). But, my former humility used to be false modesty, I underplayed on purpose because of lack of self-confidence and faith. I couldn’t accept compliments, for example. Humility means also to recognize one’s talents and to train them in order to become one’s own world champion – and enjoying the journey of course.

  5. I think it was Earl Nightingale who had said, “Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity, and their is always opportunity.”

It just comes down to are people recognizing it. I will say most are not.

thanks for your comment. I love that quote. There is absolutely some truth in it. Without being prepared, we won’t recognize opportunity even if I run directly into it. Have a blessed weekend and take care

This article is a keeper. I love your question “Who wins the battle in your brain – you or your little voices” because I truly believe that a person is limited only by his/her thoughts that he chooses to have.

absolutely, our only limits are our limiting beliefs. The good thing about that: We are free to change them. It’s a choice. Thanks for your comment and your appreciation. Have a blessed weekend and take care

Oliver – great post. Ah – the ‘little voices” – They definately lie! And if anything good happens I will take the credit. When it’s the other way around – I chock it up to “bad luck” LOL!

Looking forward to more great posts from you Oliver.

    Hi Jill,
in most cases they lie. The more I contain I contain my negative ones, the more positive little voices I realise. They have always been there, but I allowed my negative little vpoces to mute them. Thanks for your comment. Have a blessed weekend and take care

    Hey Oli,

knowing the truth and who you´re, what you can do
with all of your gifts and talents, is just mind blowing..

That´s true Ray; I was talking with a girl for about half a
year ago, and she meant that 90% of all people that are
wealthy, successful, and fulfilled reached their success
    because of luck.

That was probably the biggest bull**** I´ve ever heard, but it
was funny, because she just can´t know what it takes, because
she´s surrounding herself with mediocre people, who have no goals,
    no desire, no ambition…

That´s still fine, because they certainly know where they´re going :)

    Great post Oliver!
