Think And Grow Rich – Oliver Tausend Reads His Lessons – Introduction
This is the third run of my Mental Cleanse.
What is the Mental Cleanse all about ? It’s an international mastermind group living Napoleon Hill’s mastermind idea.
That means we’re reading “Think and grow rich” together, chapter by chapter, week by week.
After reading one chapter, we post our lesson plan to the public Mental Cleanse forum where our mentor Michael Dlouhy (author of the free MLM e-book ‘Success in 10 steps’) and everybody else can read them.
Michael Dlouhy reads all of them, picks up to 10 that are different from each other (not better than the others) and the author reads his or her lesson plan on the weekly conference calls on Wednesdays at 3 PM US Eastern Time (or 8 PM Eastern Time).
I’m on the 3 PM call.
After reading the individual lesson plan, we are openly and freely discussing this lesson plan and our own thoughts and feelings towards this chapter.
Of course, participation is key but no one is forced to send lessons plans or to speak up.
These conference calls are a place of complete safety to speak up, a sanctuary where people from all over the world and all walks of life are masterminding together.
As “Think and grow rich” doesn’t need to be read like a novel from the beginning to the end, anyone can jump on the call anytime, regardless of the chapter we’re actually at.
I have done the Mental Cleanse already twice. Last time, I published my personal lesson plans on a weekly basis every Wednesday on this blog.
To read the first lesson, please click on the following link: Think And Grow Rich – Introduction – Lessons From Chapter 1
Today I’m starting all over again with chapter 1 “Introduction” – so I’m going to share with you 15 lessons plans, one every week.
To me its highly interesting to review my transformation by reading my former lesson plans.
If you want to do that as well, just click on the former link above.

Hi Oliver,
I just love the name, “Mental Cleanse” because this in my opinion is critical for success and it’s something that we never get done, a bit like cleaning our houses.
I must say I always appreciate reading and hearing your thoughts as you go through this each time. As you discover new insights and communicate these to us, you challenge us to reflect anew too. Thank you.

HI Marcus,
I love the analogy of cleaning our houses: We will never be done. Once you’ve finished in the last room, there’s already new dust in the first, especially if you have children, lol.
That’s exactly my intention when I write (or read) about my own process: To get my audience to think too.
Thanks for your wonderful comment.
Take care

Hey Oliver
Wow I love it. It is great to hear your voice and does give people another option.
This book is so amazing. I think every time I revisit the content I “hear” something differently. A very strong message and a debate that goes on for many of us.

Hi Heather,
thanks for your comment. You know what, I feel more comfortable with audios than with videos. That doesn’t mean that I won’t do videos anymore, it simply that audios attract me more.

Hi Oliver,
I did something similar to this about 2 years ago with a mastermind group as well. We dissected each chapter and everyone on the call gave their opinion on what they took away from what they read. It was really interesting to hear what others interpreted from each chapter so I know you are probably have the best time ever with this.
Thank you for sharing this with us all. If you haven’t read the book in awhile, this is a great reminder to pick it up again.
Appreciate it!

Hi Dahlia,
thanks for your comment. One result is that I realized just recently that I was sabotaging myself, I saw it on a conscious level and I made corrections. Formerly, I did self-sabotage and I didn’t know it. I wrote a blog post about that, it’ll be published tomorrow.

Oliver, aloha. The phrase Mental Cleanse appeals to me because I like the idea of washing away the old (the thoughts/patterns/ideas that no longer serve) and bringing in the new.
Mastermind groups are so productive and active participation makes them even more so.
Look forward to listening to your podcast. Aloha. Janet

Hi Janet,
yes, it’s like washing away the old stuff. But the stains are pretty resistant sometimes
Active participiation is crucial, couldn’t agree more.

Hi Oliver,
I love how you say you’re different every time you read Think and Grow Rich because you’ve grown. And it’s true. I’ve picked it up and started reading a random chapter, and it seemed brand new to me, like I’ve never read it before.
I love your audios, too, by the way. Thanks for sharing!

Oliver your podcast was great!
I think I’m going to jump into podcasting too. I have to agree with one of your commenter about the title “Mental Cleanse.” That is exactly what we are doing when we are changing our mindset.
Our emotions, our thoughts and our feelings are like magnets. They attract the good and the bad things in our lives. Once we get in control of our mind and set our intentions with the feeling of joy and the feeling of having what we want now, only then we can attract abundance into our lives.

Hi Tisha,
you’re right that the “Mental Cleanse” is an awesome word picture. As long as we aren’t aware of our thoughts, we can’t change them. We can’t change assumptions we don’t know we have.
Thanks for your comment.
