MLM Success With Think And Grow Rich And Oliver Tausend Pt. 1 – Introduction: Thoughts Are Things

I am starting a new series as I start my fourth run of the Mental Cleanse.

I am bringing to you my weekly lesson plans on video – I am reading the lesson plan to you I submit in written form to the Mental Cleanse forum.

These are the previous series about Think and grow rich and the Mental Cleanse on my blog, each starting with chapter 1:

September 2010 – December 2010 Think And Grow Rich – Introduction – Lessons From Chapter 1

December 2010 – April 2011 Think And Grow Rich – Oliver Tausend Reads His Lessons – Introduction

Napoleon Hill writes at the beginning of this chapter:

“TRULY, “thoughts are things,” and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a BURNING DESIRE for their translation into riches, or other material objects.”

In this lesson plan, I am going to prove to you – from experience – that thoughts are truly things.

Oliver, aloha. So enjoyed hearing you speak your lesson and your emphasis.

    T. Harv Eker’s “How you do anything, is how you do everything” has long been one of my favorites. It is so true. Thx for the reminder.

Your golf instructor is terrific as is your takeaway from the experience. Proof enough even for a Green! When he said what he did about your and Anke’s respective tendencies must have blown your mind.

Thanks for sharing this “painful” and vivid example, Oliver, of “thoughts are things.”

Look forward to following you on your golf adventures. Until next time, my friend. aloha. Janet

    Hi Janet,

thanks for your comment. You’re welcome with the reminder of T. Harv Eker’s saying. It holds true all the time, on any occasion.

Our instructor nailed it really. I am tempted to say that it got me thinking, but I am supposed not to think too much ;-)

Oliver, I just love your lessons. Is it not incredible how we can go through the Think and Grow Rich and learn even more each time.

    I love Harv T Eker’s quote.

I also love the fact you have a green personality. Perhaps that is why I ‘get’ everything you say!

I am a ridiculous over thinker and unfortunately have had first hand results from having to realize that thoughts are things.

Hi Jayne and green soul sister, lol :-)

it’s not always that it takes me a long time to make decisions. I can make quick decisions, and most of them were good. It’s the permanent scan that runs in the background, in my subconscious mind that is extremely energy draining and that creates mediocre results, sometimes. And I have to work too hard and too much to get certain things done. Just like a virus scan can slow down a computer. What my subconscious mind actually scans, that’s the next question.

Thanks for sharing your insights, valuable as always.

You are putting a great effort into getting this across to us, our readers.

    Oliver,
Forget physiologists, I’m going to take golf lessons to figure out what is wrong with me. LOL. But I think this is true. The way you play a game is the way you think and do things in life; it is a direct reflection. That is why it is always important to think good things and you should be able to do good things as a result.

    Thanks for the lesson.

    Hi Allie,

I am sure that there’s nothing wrong with you. Chances are you are over-emphasizing some of your strengths. Our instructor said:”You’re thinking too much.” He didn’t say:”You’re thinking.”

But anyway, starting sports like a golf is certainly a good way to fix that.

    Thanks for your comment.

  5. Hi Oliver!

The problem with golf, really, is that you do have a tendency to think things through. It’s really not just a physical sport but a mental one. In one swing, there are so many things to take into consideration: your stance, the way you hold your club, your back, your arms, your knees, the ball, the field, the wind, and so many other variables that it could really get crazy! I, too, have the tendency to think too much. :)

It’s been an interesting video presentation and I really appreciated how you drove the points about personal self-worth and consistency (which I am working on).

Thanks for sharing your “things.” :)

    Hi Elmar,

that’s exactly why I am interested in learning golf: The mental part of it. Two years ago I said that I need to learn a sports where it isn’t about fighting, like running for example. Then I started in network marketing, lol. Stresses the mental side also.

Thanks for your comment. Sounds like you’re already playing golf, aren’t you ?

Great and empowering lesson! I always love watching your videos and listening to you.

I totally agree that “thoughts are things.” Thoughts can make or break you. They can propel you forward or stop you dead in your tracks.

“You are what you think.” (Can’t remember who said it.)

Thank you for sharing your lesson plan with us!

    Have a great weekend!

Great stuff Oliver. It’s absolutely true – people are looking (consciously or not) for valuable behavior, and consistent participation and contribution helps to demonstrate this.

“How you do anything is how you do everything” is a very profound concept, and also a very good sales pitch! It’s definitely one to contemplate deeply…

MLM Success With Think And Grow Rich And Oliver Tausend Pt. 1 Oliver yes thoughts lead to emotions and emotions lead to actions or inactions. thoughts are things i am so aware of this now more than ever and sometimes it really takes a rude awakening to wake up and be aware of whats going on around you and inside ones thoughts.

Think good things and good things will result from it. Thats my motto!
