Blogging Basics For MLM Success Part 3

To blog or not to blog, that's the question

My very good friend Karen Miller asked me for an interview on Mentoring for free‘s Thursday advertising call about blogging and I happily agreed to share my experiences.

The call was about empowering people to make a sound a decision if blogging is something for them not.

In fact, nobody does need a blog to become uber-successful in the industry of network marketing, but of course, it does help tremendously if and when you know what you are doing and what you are getting into.

I cut this one-hour-interview into several logical pieces that I am going to publish in a little series.

Today’s about part 5 – and the end.

I am sharing how I manage my time and why I think that Facebook games are a huge flaw.

What is your opinion and what are your experiences ?

I always love your reaction, so please leave me a comment down below with questions, thoughts, or feedback.

And (yes, here’s my call to action) please share this post with your Twitter and Facebook friends by clicking on the share buttons. I appreciate you telling others.

To a prosperous life,

    Hey Oliver,
Useful suggestions here. And a lot of common sense as well.
Engaging with your readers and supporting them in their blogging efforts is an important part of the ecuation. Growing these contacts is like taking care of your plants..the more energy you put into it, the more you will be rewarded.
Regarding the Facebook games, if you don’ t care about how your time and energy are invested nobody will do it for you. Simple as that. It’s just a matter of reconsidering of what really bring us pleasure and pain.
I never payed too much attention to Google Alerts and other aspects until your blogging series showed up. Thanks for sharing buddy.
    Keep the posts coming :)

    Cheers,
    Radu

Stay focused is great advice. Stay focused leads to productivity. Many people are addicted to distraction. Great interview Oliver.

  3. Hi Oliver, Being a green personality myself, I’m glad to hear your tips. I have found that Blogging is a time consuming activity but very worth it when we take the time to do it right. Prioritizing our activities is a great way to save time, since not all activities are created equal. The trick is to sort out the ones that are not serving our business purpose.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge so freely Oliver.

Oliver thanks for the post. That was a great topic you talked about but I am glad you touched on staying focused. Growing a steady business involves staying focus and investing time in what you are doing. After all if you don’t believe in what you are doing, who can you convince to believe in it?

    Hi Martin,

most people underestimate the time and energy required for maintenance. So they add another business to the business they’re already building and don’t get done anything because of maintenance.

That’s why focus is so critical.

    Thanks for your comment.

    Hi Oliver,

Focusing on the tasks at hand is great advice! I never got into Facebook games either. I think they’re just such a time waster. By the way, they had a segment on local TV last night about the guy that invented Farmville and Cityville. Did you know he’s a multi billionaire? Yes, Billionaire with a capital B!

Great segment! Thanks for sharing it!

    Hi, Oliver,

Awesome tips there! thank you :)

I particularly like your remarks about building relationships and engaging with the readers. One of the ways to enhance the relationship with out readers is to continue offering valuable tips to our readers. This can be done through excellent blog contents and quality email follow up messages.

Today, I learned (through Radu Dascalul’ blog) that there are tips relating to how to make it easier for our readers to subscribe to our list. Thanks to Mavis Nong’s recommendation about a plugin called MaxBlogPress too.

I love the feedback by your readers! There are so many people with sharing spirit out there!

PS: I like your response to Viviana’s comment. Yes, ” focus is not everything, but without focus, everything’s nothing”. I appreciate your insights, Oliver.

    Be Blessed.

A good MLMer is likely to be a good blogger. If one can build relationships and interact well with customers/readers; then one can do either.

There are downsides to blogging while focussing on an MLM. Both take time, and time is limited. A blog requires a tremendous amount of upkeep—even after the initial phases have been completed. There is the issue of duplication. It would be folly to expect your downline to create a similar blog.
