MLM: Dreams Do Come True – DARE TO DREAM

In late June 2009 my wife and I set our 7-year-plan. Shortly after that, my coach asked me to write down my 5-year-dream. Obviously, the five-year-plan had to support the 7-year-plan. I want to share with you my dream and to invite you to write down your own. Dare to dream because dreams do come true. I see the light. There’s no coincidence. What does my life look like in five years (2014) ?

My wife and I have set three major goals for 2016:

1. We have a house on Guernsey.
2. We have at least 1 million € in assets that produce passive income/cashflow.
3. We have a house in Germany (maybe anywhere else).

What does that mean for 2014 ?

Since our holiday on Guernsey in May/June this year, I’m driven by an old and romantic song of Chris de Burgh. This song is called „I will“.

It goes „I’m going to an island where the sun will always shine, where the moon is always riding on the sea…and when I go I’ll leave behind these chains that hold me down, the time has come to set my spirit free.“

So far, I’ve never felt this welcome in my whole life as I experienced it on Guernsey. Lovely people nearly everywhere, a magnificent landscape, the brilliantly shining sea, fantastic seafood, the clear blue sky, the wind, the beaches. It comes very near to my imagination of paradise, paradise on earth, not only as concerns people, nature and food but also as concerns business. Guernsey is neither part of the UK nor part of the EU, therefore an offshore financial centre and a tax haven (no VAT, flat income tax…). I made two films after our holiday, one is rather short, the other one longer and I watch them at least once or twice a week and I’m fulfilled with gratitude and joy when watching them. The whole family was happy.

I know very well that I have to leave behind „these chains“ right now. I also know very well that I have to set my spirit free right now if I really want to achieve this goal and the others. And I want it. We’re not yet sure if Guernsey will be our main domicile, but at the latest in 2016 we have the money to buy it or the cashflow to finance it easily. It may also be a residence for a year off. In a five years time, we have decided the details, if we’re going to move, if it will be a holiday domicile for us and/or others. The amount needed will be at least 1 million GBP (1.15 million €) or an equivalent cashflow from our assets. I see myself on the beach with my wife and my children. I see myself fetching my parents or parents-in-law at the airport or the harbour of Saint Peter Port. I see myself on my John Deere seat lawn mower mowing the lawn on my property from time to time, if it’s not the gardener who does it. I see myself driving around in my Bentley Continental GTC. I see myself as a successful entrepreneur whose businesses and assets produce passive income to live a very comfortable and rich life at this taxpayer-friendly place.

These are the goals for 2016. Why should’t it be possible to achieve them two years earlier ? If not, by 2014, I want to have the personal and financial freedom to decide together with my wife which way we’re going to go two years later, what will be the best for us and our children and where our main domicile will be. In order to benefit from Guernsey’s tax laws, it should be at least 6 months + 1 day in a year.

In 2014, I am fit and successful in business and real estate, I am financially literate and I have turned today’s situation into a victory. I have become a leader and a teamplayer. I have a team of professionals helping me to achieve my goals. I am out of the rat race.

All this comes along with a strong foundation of love, fulfilment, harmony and peace of mind. I’m keen on learning and developing myself furthermore. We keep growing, personally and financially and economically. We control our time and our money, thus our lives. In our lives, our money and our time are working for us.

My wife, my daughters and I are in good health, Muriel and Anouk are doing well in school and they’re growing up with the financial mind-set of the rich.

We are grateful and humble and are great donors for charity purposes. One of my long-term goals is building up a foundation in order to preserve my wealth for generations. We thank God for having acted through us and for still acting through us as long as we live – even beyond our deaths through our heritage and foundation.

That motivates me to become both very rich and very old. I have enough time to practice my hobbys and to start a new one (e.g. golf). We have travelled to some of our other dream destinations (e.g. New Zealand) and have dined in some of the world’s finest restaurants. We are frequent guests at the Sonnenalp resort hotel in the Bavarian alps which is also a paradise on earth. There’s a Sonnenalp sister hotel in Vail (Colorado) run by the same family – I am very curious to check this one out as well.
